The Company	Founded in 1981 DeValk Consulting, Inc. provides market intelligence, regulatory and political affairs expertise to the food industry. The company specializes in the meat industry and through its efforts over the last seventeen years has gained the confidence of many participants. DeValk provides consulting and administrative services to two trade associations, the Further Poultry Processors Association of Canada and the Canadian Association of Regulated Importers. In addition, DeValk provides market intelligence in the form of POULTRY BRIEFS and NEW POULTRY PRODUCTS, to selected clients in North America and Europe. Our flagship information program is called Commodity Alert Program (CAP), a unique intelligence and analysis service tailored specifically to the needs of each client. The CAP also provides clients with exclusive access to DeValk's extensive resource centre and library services which holds over 5,000 sources related to food and food safety. Food Label Review	All food products sold require an appropriate label which is in compliance with Canadian labeling, Food and Drug Regulations and/or various acts and regulations under the Canada Agricultural Products Act. We can ensure your food product labels meet these requirements by either submitting them to the proper regulatory authorities in a timely and professional manner or through our own internal review process.
Food Safety Seminars	Concern about food safety is on the increase. Our firm can provide custom tailored on-site food safety seminars for all sectors in the food industry including producers, processors, distribution, foodservice operators and retailers to raise food safety awareness. In addition, we can assist firms to put in place their own food safety programs.
Management of Import Activities	The imports of "within access" chicken, turkey, shell eggs, egg products and dairy products into Canada are limited each year through a fixed quota regime. DeValk's knowledge of the import control and permit system has saved many firms production downtime and money. Equally important, DeValk's many years of experience with the import access system neabs we gave encountered most situations more than once. We are familiar with the procedure to obtain National Customs Rulings, traffication and import classification rules and can assist firms in presenting appeals before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal.
